Information For Patients
As a patient anticipating or undergoing treatment for a blood cancer or stem cell transplant, you may be feeling overwhelmed by the impact on your life and that of your family.
You Are Not Alone
Little Angels can provide support for those patients who are struggling financially and meet our eligibility requirements. The following outlines these eligibility requirements and how Little Angels can help.
If you are seeking help, it is important to contact the social worker in your treatment program to help you assess your needs and determine what resources are available.
This assessment by the social worker is essential to determining eligibility. There can be exceptional circumstances where some requirements can be relaxed.

To be eligible for support from Little Angels, patients must meet the following medical, geographical and financial requirements:

How We Help
Patients entering a blood cancer or stem cell treatment program typically meet with a social worker affiliated with that program. The meeting enables the social worker to determine if the patient has the resources needed to complete the treatment program.
These resources can include transportation, proper nutrition, accommodation, childcare, and personal or emotional support.
Depending on a patient’s situation, accessing the necessary resources may require financial assistance.
There are several sources the social worker can call upon to help patients needing assistance. In many cases, financial assistance from Little Angels provides the only means by which a patient can access a needed resource.
